Our award-winning sourdough crispbreads are light and crisp and have a subtle flavour that means anything you serve them with will taste even better. Last year the judges at the Great Taste Awards named our original sourdough cripsbread “the best biscuit for cheese out there”. Find out more about why they loved them here with judge and food writer Regula Ysewijn. They are the perfect host for fine cheese but are equally delicious served with just butter or jam.
We were delighted by this accolade from some of the most discerning palates in Britain and as everyone here at Peter’s Yard loves good cheese we decided it was time to help celebrate great British cheese. We’ve teamed up with Great British Chefs to bring you the first Great British Cheese Awards. The Awards aim to find the best British cheeses, cheesemongers and cheese shops. Of course we will need your help to do this, find out how you can take part on the Awards website.
We also asked several of our good friends in the cheese world to select a special cheeseboard for us to share with you. There is a wonderful British cheeseboard from Fiona Beckett and Jess Trethowan of The Cheese School in Bristol while expert fine cheese retailer and wholesaler Hamish Johnston selected their favourite British cheeses. Renowned cheese experts Charlie Turnbull and Patricia Michelson of London’s La Fromagerie selections range further afield. We hope they give you inspiration when you are entertaining friends, if you want to create your own selection then take a look at our experts’ tips.
You can also find out what some of our favourite chefs say about our crispbread, see what Nigel Slater and others have to say here.
